Landscapes

From being a young child, there has always been something about the world around us that has captivated me. The fascination continues to this day, forever seeking out the beauty in our surroundings and trying to capture them in a way which really tells a story. Landscape photography has always been my main passion, but it hasn't been an easy journey. From wondering why the fancy new camera I'd bought wasn't taking amazing photos, to wondering why exposure and depth of field are so important, it has been a voyage of discovery. I still have a lot to learn, but discovering the work of amazing photographers such as Ansel Adams, Charlie Waite, David Ward and Joe Cornish has really inspired me to learn more about the art of making photographs.

I'm constantly seeking new subjects whilst also trying to find new takes on familiar ones. The greatest bonus of all, is the fresh air and getting out and about in nature. Quite why we find something so beneficial (and which, when I was a kid in the 80's and early 90's, was just what we did!) so difficult to justify as grown ups is beyond me! Where's that Tarzie Swing!?
